Tank Skid Plate
We received the skid plate more then two years
ago. Install write-up and testing was lost due to web site hackers. The YJ Skid
Plate from Kilby Enterprises is a great improvement over the stock and even most
other skids plates on the market. We have unforgivingly beat it on any and
everything we could find. The rocks of Rainbow Pass Trails being the worst. This
skid took it all and was heady for more. We have used it to jack up the rear to
perform trail repairs and have dropped off 3 foot ledges only to catch the rear
of the Jeep on the skid plate. Besides a few nicks and scratches in the powder
coating there is no damage whatsoever. Sides and rear of the Kilby Skid Plate
offer more clearance and protection.

How many of us have after market bumpers and/or winches. Those of
us that do have at lest one other thing in common, no good place to put are front
license plate! How many times have you lost or destroyed your front plate? I
tried getting the DMV to just send me a plate every six months, that’s how bad
it got for me. Yeah, I tried zip-tying it to the bumper and I looked for
the Mag Light clip holders to snap onto my winch roller fairlead but that was a
no go, there where just none around to be had. So, tired of searching I called
Brad Kilby up and he said he had just the right thing. He sent me out his License Plate Holder part # KE-LPH.
When I opened the box I got more than I had expected. I thought I would just get
the Mag Light look-a-likes, but no. I received a heavy duty back plate with
counter sunken holes for the clips and rounded Allen bolts with the nuts welded
to the back plate and the whole thing is powder coated Black. Well the
installation is self explanatory, took less then 5 minutes. After the fist
assembly there are no tools needed to install or remover the license plate. Now
no more tickets and I can just pull it off when I go wheeling. Thanks again

Update: After two years it still works like a
champ. I have run over it a few times forgetting to remove it from the the Jeep
at the trail head but it never once phased it. It has never come off on it's own
just when a branch gets it on the trail.
