Welcome to Holeproof Industries, Northern Alaska's only real 4x4 and off-road shop. Providing custom fabrication & 4x4 parts for off-road vehicles in Interior Alaska. The first thing I always here is "why"? Most solid front axles have three main adjustments that control how a vehicle drives.
The toe can be adjusted by the drag link and tie rod. Camber and caster are normally in how the brackets and knuckles are welded to the axle tube. When you lift a vehicle you need to adjust the pinion angle to avoid u-joint binding and vibration. By properly setting the pinion angle you throw the caster out of whack. This will result in prematurely worn steering parts, poor steering, bump steer and death wobble. Rotating the inner knuckles on the axle tube to the proper degree resets the axle's alignment back to near stock for a much smoother and safer ride. I recommend doing this for any solid axle, leaf sprung rig with more then 6" of lift.
